Why should my child watch the videos PRIOR to class?Learning can take place best when there is some background knowledge to tie it to. If your child watching a video on the upcoming math content, it may provide some background knowledge to tie the lesson to while we learn it during class.

Can you explain your grading scale?Participation - 5% Homework - 20% Quizzes - 30% Tests - 45% Participation is checked daily based on whether or not a student is actively paying attention and taking notes. Homework is checked for effort and completion only. I do not expect students to get every homework question correct and do not want to discourage any students by giving low grades if they do not understand the material after a single lesson. Quizzes and tests are weighted more heavily because this is the student's chance to who me what they learned from out lessons and homework.
